पहले इसे 1972 तक उत्तर प्रदेश कृषि बिश्ब विद्यालय कहते थे 1972 में इसका नाम बदलकर गोबिन्द बल्लभ पंथ किया गया ।। जो बिभाजन के बाद उत्तराखंड में चला गया ।। हरित क्रांति में इस बिश्ब बिद्यालय ने अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई थी ।।
