रामायण में हनुमान मित्र, भगवान राम के परम शिष्य जिन्होंने रामायण में अपनी प्रमुख भूमिका निभाई। वह भगवान हनुमान भी महाभारत में थे। जब वह पांडवों के वनवास के दौरान भीम से मिले थे। पुराणों में यह भी बताया गया है कि गदाधारी भीम भगवान हनुमान के भाई हैं क्योंकि हनुमान और भीम दोनों पवन देवता के पुत्र हैं।
