जेंडर सेंसेटाइजेशन/संवेदनशीलता क्या है?
महिलाएं, पुरुषों से किसी मामले में कम नहीं है. ये बात हम हर रोज सुनते हैं, कहते हैं और किताबों में पढ़ते भी हैं. लेकिन असल जीवन में इसका पालन बहुत कम लोग ही करते है. जीवन के हर मोड़ पर पुरुष चाहे-अनचाहे महिलाओं को उनके महिला होने का एहसास कराने से नहीं चूकता. यही एहसास लैंगिक संवेदनहीनता का जनक है और इसी को खत्म करने के लिए जेंडर सेंसेटाइजेशन यानी लैंगिक संवेदनशीलता जरूरी है.
लैंगिक संवेदनशीलता यानी हर लिंग (चाहे पुरुष हो या महिला) का व्यक्ति दूसरे लिंग (चाहे पुरुष हो या महिला) के प्रति सम्मान का भाव रखे. लिंग भेद को दरकिनार कर एक-दूसरे के प्रति सम्मान के भाव होना ही लैंगिक संवेदनशीलता है.
